Small Island, Plenty of Stuff to Do!
Fishing
Our friend Ryan McQuillan operates Salish Sea Charters, with a beautiful 22' Bayliner Trophy where you will see whales, dolphins, bald eagles and catch everything from crab to cod.
Kayaking
Ben and his son Jesse operate Gulf Island Kayaking from Montague Harbour. For larger groups they will even bring kayaks up to Bodega where you can paddle across to the beautiful provincial park located on Wallace Island.
Music/Events
ActiveGaliano.org is our community driven website where you can find out about everything happening on Galiano. Be sure to check in with ActiveGaliano before your trip to catch some of the diverse performances that are hosted by Galiano's Grand Central or the many festivals & art shows that our talented community offers.
Golf
Galiano features a unique and challenging 9 hole Golf Course just a 20 minute drive from Bodega.
Hiking
There are several great hikes that feature massive broken island views that will leave a lasting impression. Bodega Ridge can be accessed directly from the property or Jesse can point you in the direction of Mt.Galiano, Pebble Beach or a nice stroll around Montague Provincial Park.
Cycling
Road or mountain biking are great despite the relatively small size of Galiano. The rides are challenging with Galiano's bumpy topography but the views & descents make it all worthwhile. Jesse is happy to share a local's knowledge of where the best riding is on the gem of the Gulf Islands.
